About the Kruger Park

The Kruger Park South Africa’s largest National Park and justly regarded as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. With an area originally the size of Israel or Wales the park has now been expanded to include the many private game reserves on the outskirts and across the border into Mozambique. This allows the wide diversity of species an extraordinary area within which to roam freely. There are many fine private safari lodges ranging from the most exclusive luxury accommodation to more affordable bush camps. They all provide a uniquely South African safari experience. But this area is not just about the wonderful wildlife.

Spectacular Areas Around Kruger Park

  • The Blyde River Canyon which is the world's third largest canyon and largest 'green' canyon. We regard this as one of the most beautiful areas of South Africa.
  • The Panorama Route where the High Veld ends spectacularly and literally 'falls' into the Low Veld.
  • Pilgrim's Rest is a living museum celebrating one of South Africa's earliest gold rushes.
  • The Sudwala Caves offer some of the most spectacular caving in Africa.
  • Fishing in the rivers of Mpumalanga around Dullstroom, Origstad and White River is among the best in South Africa.
