South Africa Honeymoon south africa Vacation Package

Honeymoon Package Cape & Safari – 14 nights

Day 1-5

Your honeymoon starts with a flight from your home airport to Cape Town.  After collecting your rental car (you can choose to be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a small extra charge), you will be staying at the renowned Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa. We have quoted this to include a seaview suite. The hotel clings to the mountainside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are two beautiful pools to relax in, a top rated restaurant, a spa and even a cinema.

You are close to the fashionable beach resort of Camps Bay and only 20 minutes’ drive to the Table Mountain Cableway and the centre of Cape Town. The Constantia Winelands are a 20 minute drive in the opposite direction and Cape Point is an hours’ drive away. The main Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are also an hour away.

Day 6-7

After a wonderful breakfast overlooking the ocean, you will drive 2 1/2 hours to the sleepy town of Swellendam. This is the third oldest town in South Africa and you will be staying in Rothman Manor which dates back to 1834. You will be staying two nights in the beautiful XL Suite which is set in the pretty gardens and grounds. You will be able to visit the interesting Bontebok National Park which is very close and for those a little more adventurous, you can drive 1 1/2 hours to the southernmost tip of Africa – Cape Agulhas

Day 8-10

It is an easy and scenic 4 hour drive to Tsala Treetop Lodge just outside the popular beachside town of Plettenberg Bay. This is truly exceptional accommodation in tree top rooms way above the forest floor and each exquisitely appointed complete with a plunge pool. Tsala and its adjacent sister hotel Hunters have excellent restaurants, but if this is not enough, nearby Plettenberg Bay has plenty of top rated eateries. The beaches in Plett are among the best in South Africa and there are plenty of opportunities to hike in the stunning Robberg Peninsula Nature Reserve which intriguingly was the site of the first European settlement for six months following the shipwreck of a Portuguese merchant man in 1630 en route from India to Lisbon.

Day 11-13

From Tsala, you will drive for 3 1/2 hours along a scenic road in excellent condition to the Addo National Park just past the city of Port Elizabeth. Here you will stay at Gorah Elephant Camp. This is a sister company of Tsala and as well as game drives into the National Park, you will also enjoy the exclusivity of the private concession that is available for Gorah’s use. Accommodation is in wonderfully romantic luxurious tents open to the bush. There is a swimming pool in a fenced area and the restaurant in the original lodge overlooks a watering hole where you are likely to see elephants and many antelope.

Day 14

After your early morning game drive, it is an easy 1 hour drive to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight to Johannesburg to connect with your overnight flight home.

Prices start from $10,600 ( £8,000  for our British clients). This is quoted for two people for 14 nights and includes accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis except for Gorah which is all inclusive of meals and two game drives a day. We include fully comprehensively insured car rental and the South Africa Sun booking fee. You will receive the unique South Africa Sun Care Package with a detailed itinerary created just for you together with road maps and tourist atlases for the regions you are driving in.
