From £4,500 in the Low Season (May to end September) to £5,500 in the High Season for Two.(For our American clients this is $5,700 to $7,000 excluding flights).

You start your journey with a flight to Johannesburg, changing onto a domestic flight to Port Elizabeth. After collecting your car, you drive for approximately 1 hour along easy roads to stay 3 nights at Woodall Country House. Accommodation here is quoted on a B&B basis but Woodall offer excellent game drives into the Addo National Park, for approximatley $40 per person, where you can see the 'Big Five' in their natural surroundings.

You then have a 3 1/2 hour drive along excellent and very scenic roads to Plettenberg Bay where you will stay at Primrose Cottage for 6 nights. This is a 3 bedroomed self catering cottage in a development that has a swimming pool, squash and tennis and is just a 5 minute walk from an excellent beach - but there are 3 more of the finest golden beaches that South Africa has to offer. A maid, who will fully service the cottage, can be provided for your stay. This is a great central location from which to explore the Garden Route.

Oudtshoorn (Ostriches and the Cango Caves) is a 1 1/2 hour drive, the Tsitsikamma Forest is 45 minutes and Knysna is just a 20 minute drive. You can even catch a steam train in Wilderness (30 minutes' drive) which will take you to a romantic cave, which is a restaurant, overlooking the Indian Ocean and then take you back to your car later.

You then drive for 4 hours to Swellendam at the end of the Garden Route. Here you will stay for two nights at The Hideaway where you will enjoy the wonderful service provided. Accommodation here is on a B&B basis and excursions into the nearby Bontebok National Park can be arranged ....or you can just enjoy the wonderful surroundings in the third oldest town in South Africa.From here it is an 1 1/2 drive to Hermanus to stay at beautiful Whale Rock Lodge from where (between June and December) you should enjoy great whale watching.

You will then drive 2 hours to complete your holiday with a 5 night stay at Glen Avon Lodge. This is an historic homestead in the middle of the Constantia Winelands. The centre of Cape Town is an easy 20 minute drive mainly along motorway class roads and you will be spoilt for the choice of wineries and restaurants to visit. Cape Point at the end of the Peninsula is a 40 minute drive and you can also drive up to the Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek easily from here.

To end your stay it is an easy 30 minute drive to the airport to catch a direct flight back to London full of wonderful memories. The price quoted is for TWO ADULTS and includes international and domestic economy flights, car hire (based on a Toyota Corrolla), a high standard of accommodation and our booking fee which includes the South Africa Sun unique 'Care Package'.
