The 'Desert' in Bloom, Cape Town,The Winelands, The Garden Route and Malaria free Safari for 17 nights in South Africa. Note that for the Desert in Bloom you will need to book between early August and mid - September. Starting off for two nights in Batavia Boutique Hotel in the centre of historic Stellenbosch.
You will then drive 2 1/2 hours to the Cedarberg region to stay for 3 nights at Ndedema Lodge in the centre of historic Clanwilliam. From here you will, in season, be able to see the incredible sight of the semi desert to the north literally turn into a blaze of colour.
This is followed by 3 nights in a top 300 year old hotel and winery, Steenberg just 20 minutes' drive from Cape Town. The hotel has one of the trendiest restaurants in this part of the Cape and is renowned for its Sunday Jazz Lunches. If you are feeling energetic, you can play a round on the Steenberg golf course before relaxing by one of the hotels 3 pools.
A short drive will take you to stay 1 night at Boulders Beach Lodge with the Penguins. This is an unique location and few guest will forget walking up to their room after an excellent meal in the restaurant accompanied by one or two penguins as an escourt!
After a two and a half hour drive you will arrive for a two nights' stay in Swellendam which is the third oldest town in South Africa. Here you will stay at Jan Harmsgat Country House, 20 kms out of town, relishing their fine cuisine and wines before you drive 4 hours to spend four nights near Plettenberg Bay at Fynbos Ridge - a delightful private nature reserve with sweeping views over the distant mountains. Here you will be able to experience the best of The Garden Route and laze on incredible beaches. You will then round off your trip with two nights all inclusive at Shamwari which is a private game reserve near Addo National Park.
You fly back from nearby Port Elizabeth via Johannesburg. The package is for TWO people and includes return flights, car hire, accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis in mainly 5 - star luxurious accommodation, booking fee and it includes the South Africa Sun unique 'Care Package'.
