Augusta Kleinbosch, Wellington

Sadly, Augusta Kleinbosch was destroyed by a wild fire on January 9 2017. We are waiting to hear the owners plans.

This  was a beautiful property close to Wellington (but along a 3 km gravel road) set in 150 glorious acres beneath towering mountains. It can be hot during the summer months but the gardens are lush offering greenery and shade. Here you will be able to breathe the wonderfully fresh air and indulge in the colours and scents of South Africa. The swimming pool is a reasonable size and beautifully positioned within the gardens with mountain views. The 9 bedrooms are either alongside the garden or in a separate house that is an historical monument as it was the first Afrikaans schoolhouse in this area of the Cape. The rooms are air conditioned and decorated in a clean cut rustic cottage style with extensive use of natural woods.

About Augusta Kleinbosch’s Location

Horse riding is available close by. This is a good base from which to explore the Winelands and with Cape Town only 45 minutes away along a first class motorway, there is excellent access to shopping malls, the centre of Cape Town and Table Mountain.
