About the Location

La Digue has no vehicle save for the ubiquitous bicycles and occasional golf carts. The island has one of the most photographed beaches, Anse Source D’Argent which was used in the film of Robinson Crusoe. The Union Estate has plenty of historical references and here you will learn how copra is produced. The estate also has groves of trees where vanilla vines twist up the trunks producing the sought after pods. There are a number beaches to hike to and plenty of opportunities to snorkel in the crystal turquoise blue waters. For the less adventurous, why not try the crystal kayaks where you can see the fish through the bottom of the boat!
